Bigfoot Steam Key

Finding Bigfoot is a game about trying to find bigfoot… well that I guess is obvious. Anyway, this is a fantastic idea for a video game and one in all honesty that I am surprised has not been done before. If you like co-op-based games and games that have a lot of tension then I do feel that even in a rather rough state, Finding Bigfoot is worth taking a look at.

BIGFOOT!

The game plays like that of a first-person exploration/adventure/shooter game. It is for one to four players and let me tell you this is a game that you most certainly want to play on your own. You are part of a team that is heading into the woods after word of a missing group of hikers gets out. You know that bigfoot is responsible and now you and your team are going to hunt bigfoot down and prevent them from hurting someone else.

The Wild Hunt!

You may think that Finding Bigfoot is just about running around the woods and trying to kill bigfoot. Do not get me wrong there is plenty of that, but you will have to do other stuff as well. Deerfoot paint brush. A huge part of the game actually is working together with your team in order to track bigfoot and this is done quite well. You will hunt tracks, use a drone and try to get the bearings of your surroundings. Weather and a day-night cycle make each hunt different as does the unpredictable nature of not just bigfoot, but the other animals that want to have you for lunch. One thing that the game does well is create a sense of tension. I would not say that the game is flat out scary. However, you are on edge, especially when you know you are near Bigfoot lair!

Watch Out For That Tree

I think that Finding Bigfoot has all the makings of a really cool multiplayer experience, but there are a few things that really prevent it from being amazing. The most annoying thing about the game is the bugs. I am not talking about the bugs in the wood either! Finding Bigfoot is a game that as I write this is in early access and in all honesty, it looks like the game is done.

This is a shame as when you are hunting bigfoot, he can get stuck in a tree, on a rock, in a wall and so on. It can really take you out of the game when the thing hunting you can’t get past a little rock.

I think that Finding Bigfoot is the kind of game that shows a great deal of promise. I really wish the developers had kept at this as the idea is great and when you are playing with friends and it is all working as it should, you are in for a good time. It just sucks that the bugs can spoil the experience.

Summary

Bigfoot goes for a very direct self contained experience. You play as a hunter and must track and kill Bigfoot. Add in a load of deadly wildlife like bears and wolves and you have yourself a battle Royale of survival! The game is very basic at the moment and shines brightest in Co op as the Bigfoot encounters are a lot more edgey. I tried hard to like what is offer but the game still feels very early in development, the menus are obtuse and not friendly, the maps are huge and when you have very limited hunting capabilities it makes a very long uneventful session. Now I’m a bit biased against the hunting as I have been spoiled by the likes of hunter call of the wild, but a game based on hunting needs to give you the tools and mechanics to do it. As it is you may get a couple of sessions of laughs and scares from it but once you have hunted Bigfoot there is no reason to come back. I remain optimistic and will check back in with it at a later date.
